RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to the Front Office Manager and working closely with all members of the Leadership Team, the Assistance Front Office Manager is responsible for the following:
? Ensuring the highest levels of guest service exceeding the expectations of our guests in order to build loyalty and create word of mouth business.
? Ensuring that hotel and company standards are met and exceeded for all positions within the Front Office.
? Responsible for training of all of Front desk employees.
? Fostering a culture where all employees are empowered to provide our guests any services they request in order to exceed their expectations.
? Coach and mentor to all Front Office team members by creating an environment of contagious learning, job fulfillment, which provides a path for career development with Delta Hotels.
? Leader, Mentor and manager of the Front Office supervisory team who in turn co-ordinate the efficient and effective daily operation of the Front Desk and Telephone Guest Services.
? Directly responsible for Front Desk and Telephone Guest Services productivity, efficiency, hiring, training, and development.
? Marketing minded: Actively seek feedback from guests and employees, following up and taking action to improve GSAT and ESAT results.
? Strong and effective communication with all other departments, highlighting Front Office requirements to ensure the proper level of service to our guests.
? Developing close and effective working relationships with all supporting departments, achieving success through the collective knowledge and participation of all employees.
? Developing and maintaining partnerships with counter parts in other Delta properties, neighboring hotels, outside service providers, and continue the development of the Delta Lodge at Kananaskis reputation as being the hotel of choice for personal and professional development.
? Promotes a safe and healthy working environment by being a ?safety-minded leader at large? who leads by example in reporting any safety issues, by maintaining and reporting deficiencies throughout the hotel.
? Knowing all emergency procedures and general crisis situation management, ensuring guest and employee safety is followed by all staff.

QUALIFICATIONS:
? Minimum 2 years leadership experience in the hospitality industry.
? Would be ready to move into the position of Front Office Manager within the next 12 months.
? Dynamic, enthusiastic, creative innovator and leader who thrives under pressure and is able to perform multiple functions.
? Previously demonstrated commitment to exceeding guests expectations at all times with a demonstrated eye for detail.
? Impeccable interpersonal and written communication skills.
? Professional in presentation and demeanor, discreet.
? Highest level of attention to detail as it relates to not only task oriented functions but also to cleanliness of work and guest areas i.e. ?Be the eye of the guest?
? Understanding, or, desire to learn forecasting of occupancy, labor, rooms expenses, and to measure these against actual results and create action plans accordingly.
? A thorough understanding of the structure of the tourism and travel industry.
? Computer literacy is imperative including applications in Opera, IRIS, Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, and Internet.
? Self-motivation and organizational skills with the initiative and the proven ability to work well under pressure.
? A Diploma in Hospitality Administration from a recognized institute would be an asset.
? Knowledge of Kananaskis/Canadian Rockies/Alberta and all we have to offer an asset.
