QUALIFICATIONS:
- There are no specific education requirments for this occupation. Certification for housekeeping room attendants or similar certification is an asset.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Sweep, mop, wash, wax and polish floors.
· Dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, area rugs draperies and upholstered furniture.
· Make beds, change sheets and distribute clean towels and toiletries.
· Attend to guests? requests for extra supplies.
· Stock Linen closet and supplies area.
· Clean, disinfect and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances
· Clean and disinfect public areas such as changing rooms, showers and elevators.
· Pick up debris and empty trash containers.
· Wash windows, walls and ceilings.
· Report and store lost and found items.
· May provide basic information on facilities.
· May handle complaints.
GENERAL:
The Room Cleaner is key in providing the necessary service of ensuring clean and comfortable rooms for our guests. This is a basic mandate of hotels and the Room Cleaner is the key performer. Providing this service will ensure the guests happiness with our services and their return to our hotels.
